Len Tashman, CBF Director


The CBF’s director is Dr. Len Tashman, whose decades of experience in business forecasting include:

  • Professor Emeritus, University of Vermont, teaching MBA courses in forecasting and decision making. Five-time MBA Professor of the Year.

  • Internationally recognized author and expert on forecast-accuracy measurement, forecast model building, and evaluation of forecasting software.

  • Member of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF), the world’s leading clearinghouse for the publication and dissemination of research on forecasting methods and practices.

  • Founding and continuing editor of Foresight: The International Journal of Applied Forecasting, devoted to the issues and challenges facing the practicing forecaster. Since its inception, Foresight has been a premier publication in the forecasting field.

  • Editor, Forecast Accuracy Measurement: Pitfalls to Avoid and Practices to Adopt; and author of the introductory chapter “Dos and Don’ts of Forecast Accuracy Measurement: A Tutorial.”

CBF Report Editor Ralph Culver is the owner and principal of Letter-perfect Writing and Editorial Services in Burlington, Vermont. He provides writing, editing,and proofreading to commercial businesses, nonprofits, and the scientific, technical, medical, and legal professions. Sarah Wiesbrock has 12 years of experience designing and developing corporate and non-profit web sites. Aside from her graphic design work, she is a fine artist whose work has been displayed at the Jamaica Plain Artist Open studios and at the Massachusetts College of Art.
